The Artist - Richard Crouch Richard (or “Toasty”, to those who know him well) inherited his deep love and appreciation for fine woodcrafting from his Cherokee grandfather. He demonstrates his devotion to superior craftsmanship in the quality of the pieces he creates.

“Toasty” also incorporates his connection to his Celtic heritage in the designs he chooses to create. Each piece is shaped and created to his exacting standards, but never at the cost of losing the spirit inside each piece of wood.

Usable Art with a Green Approach

The wood Toasty uses is actually harvested from the woods behind his home and started as logs. He also uses salvaged wood from Mother Nature's storms, and wood destined to be destroyed.

All of these wood art pieces start off as logs and Toasty processes them into workable media. From Toasty: "I have always embraced the "Green" approach to get my materials."
